The Power of Focus
Without focus you will make choices, both consciously and unconsciously, that may not expedite your progress towards your goal. In fact these choices may impede your progress towards it. Ben Hunt-Davis was part of the 8-man rowing team that won gold in the Sydney Olympics in the year 2000 for Great Britain. This was a feat that had eluded the team for decades. They had tried and failed a number of times and Sydney was the last shot for him in the team along with others. They decided to make a change in their approach to their preparations. They made EVERY decision through the filter of a question. This was "will it make the boat go faster". If the answer was 'no' it didn't happen. Resources are finite. Time and money are finite. If you can clearly see where you're going, because you can clearly see where you want to arrive. If your vision is clear to you then you are able to make all of your choices through the filtering question of 'will this help me to get there in the best way possible'. If you don't have clear vision, you're not able to ask the question. It you're not able to ask the question, your less likely to get there! Focus is a powerful force enabled by clear vision.
