Finding Vision

"Fuge, terche, et quisset" = silence, solitude and inner peace

Our mental traffic is often too busy, our emotions too turbulent and our desires too intense for us to hear what our hearts are really telling us. There seems to be a "conspiracy of noise" (Gordon MacDonald) that makes it difficult for us to tune in. Routinely finding times of silence and solitude will help us find that inner peace that comes through finding what we truly are to become and acting accordingly.

"Silence is not native to my world. Silence, more than likely, is a stranger to your world too. If you and I ever have silence in our noisy hearts, we are going to have to grow it....You can nurture silence in your noisy heart if you value it, cherish it, and are eager to nourish it." Wayne Oates
